Chloe Nguyen

Art is Chloe’s favourite subject. She keeps a sketch book capturing some of her imagination and inviting us to her world. At the tender age of 11, the world is her oyster with colourful canvas. What is holding her back is hesitation, which she will conquer over time with encouragement.

Chloe is a fighter. She shows her true colour when being put under pressure. This was manifested when I presented her a challenge – a 2-minute sketch of a ballerina sculpture after few practices.

For most learners, I let them develop their individual styles, i.e. listen to your heart. In the same time, I emphasize the importance of understanding and applying fundamental techniques including observation. I enjoy teaching Chloe as she is keen to go further in her artistic journey. I firmly believe she has the potential to go very far, once she has solidified her foundation.
